Refund Policy
This Refund Policy applies to purchases of MyShell, a native macOS shell workspace, from myshell.app, operated by Myshell.app (“we”, “us”). By completing a purchase, you agree to this policy together with our Terms of Service.
Free trial
MyShell includes a 7-day free trial with no credit card required. All core features are available during the trial so you can evaluate the app before buying a lifetime license. The trial does not involve a payment and is not subject to this refund policy.
14-day money-back guarantee
If you purchase a MyShell lifetime license and are not satisfied for any reason, contact us within 14 days of your purchase date for a full refund. No questions asked.
Approved refunds deactivate the associated license key. Local data on your Mac is not deleted — you may uninstall the app at any time.
Cloud + AI subscription
Cloud + AI is an optional subscription ($8/month or $79/year) that adds encrypted cloud sync and hosted AI. It requires an active lifetime license.
- First payment: you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first subscription charge if you are not satisfied.
- Renewals: subscription renewals are non-refundable for the current billing period.
- Cancellation: you may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future charges at the end of the current billing period. Access to Cloud + AI features continues until that period ends.
Merchant of Record
Our order process for Paddle checkout is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for orders placed through Paddle checkout. Paddle handles payment processing, tax, invoicing, and billing-related customer service.
Purchases through Lemon Squeezy (when offered) are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record under their buyer terms.
Refund requests are processed in accordance with this policy and applicable consumer protection laws. This policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have under local law.
How to request a refund
- Email support@myshell.app with the email address used at checkout and your order or receipt ID.
- For Paddle orders, you may also use the View receipt or Manage subscription link in your purchase confirmation email, or contact Paddle at paddle.net.
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. Refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
Digital product
MyShell is downloadable digital software for macOS. There are no physical goods to return. License delivery is by email and in-app activation.
